Purpose

The high-speed automatic edge banding machine KE-526GHT of the pass-through type is designed for simultaneous lining of straight edges of furniture panels and blanks with synthetic roll material.

  • The machine has two liquid application units:
  1. The first unit for applying the separating liquid: using 2 nozzles in front of the unit for preliminary milling (jointing) of the workpiece. This is when a special release liquid is applied; any remaining glue that protrudes outward does not come into contact with the workpiece.
  2. Second unit for applying polishing liquid: using 2 nozzles in front of the polishing unit. This is the cleaning fluid that is applied. The main task is to remove the release agent (release liquid) applied at the beginning and any loose adhesive residues. And also to add shine to the processed edge of the part.

Design advantages

The bed of the edgebanding machine has the shape of a rigid box with the necessary stiffening ribs, which guarantees the exact location of all components throughout the entire service life.
PC control panel
The machine is controlled using an industrial personal computer based on WINDOWS 10 with the Touch screen system. The on/off icons for components and assemblies on the display are intuitive and do not require special skills to operate the machine.

edge feed
An edge feed magazine with 12+12 positions with a servo drive for automatically changing one edge to another - ease of operation, saving time and labor costs. Servo edge feed allows you to reduce edge overhangs when cutting with a guillotine and significantly reduce edge consumption. Adjustment of the front and rear edge overhangs is carried out from the control panel.
Pre-milling unit
Pre-milling unit is equipped with two high-frequency motors, which ensures high-quality processing of the end of the material before gluing the edge. Pre-milling copes with the “step” from the scoring saw and chips. The pre-milling unit is equipped with diamond cutters with a height of 40 mm (65 mm is an option).

Clamping unit
The pressure unit consists of 7 rollers with scrapers to remove excess glue and are driven by pneumatics, which guarantees uniform distribution of forces on the edge during gluing. The pressure unit is equipped with a servo drive for precise positioning of the presser unit according to the thickness of the edge.
upper glue bath
The machine is equipped with two upper glue baths: one for EVA glue with pre-melt glue, with a capacity of 5 liters, and the second sealed for PUR glue.
The glue in the EVA glue bath is supplied in doses and does not overheat during machine downtime. The viewing window allows you to monitor the presence of glue. Warm-up time and readiness for use is 15 minutes.
The sealed adhesive unit for PUR glue prevents the ingress of moisture from the environment and eliminates subsequent hardening of the glue, which significantly reduces the time for servicing the adhesive unit and the influence of the human factor.
glue hopper
The machine is equipped with automatic pneumatic loading of granular glue . A large 12.5 kg hopper is installed at the bottom of the machine frame, from which, through an air flow, the granules are transported to the upper hopper with pre-melt.
trimming unit
The horizontal trimming unit ensures precise processing of edge overhangs at the ends of the workpiece and allows you to reduce the distance between workpieces at a speed of up to 30 m/min. Automatic saw angle adjustment.
milling unit
The servo-driven milling unit consists of two high-frequency electric motors equipped with diamond radius cutters, which allow processing edge material with a thickness of 0.4 - 3.0 mm. The part is tracked using two large round tracers (on each motor) mounted on a floating unit, this design prevents defects during milling. The first milling unit is equipped with cutters with a radius of 2 mm, the second milling unit is equipped with cutters with a radius of 1 mm. Each milling unit is adjusted to two edge thicknesses and switched from the control panel.
Corner rounding unit
Corner rounding unit is equipped with four high-speed motors and operates successfully at a speed of 30 m/min. The unit is equipped with diamond radius cutters. There are four possible operation schemes for the unit.
radius cycle
The first and second scraping units on servo drives are equipped with two carbide radius knives, which, after milling the edge, remove a thin layer from the milled part of the edge and remove the kinematic wave, as a result we get a smooth processed surface. At the first unit the knife radius is 2 mm, at the second unit the knife radius is 1 mm. The units are switched on from the machine control panel.
flat scraper
Radius scraping units are equipped with mechanisms for pneumatic adjustment from a remote control to another thickness of edge and a mechanism for dividing edge residues along the length for more efficient removal.
glue scraper
The direct scraping unit is equipped with four carbide straight knives (glue scraper), which process the edges at the joints with the part. This operation removes excess glue and micro-irregularities on the seams where the edge is glued to the part.
polishing unit
A double polishing unit polishes the processed part of the edge; high quality is achieved through an oscillation system driven by pneumatic cylinders. To impart a final shine to the edge, a unit for applying polishing liquid is installed.
grooving unit
Universal grooving milling unit 3.7 kW with vertical and horizontal grooving capability is equipped with a carbide-tipped grooving saw for milling the groove under the back wall.
pressure tape
The steel clamping beam with V-shaped clamping belt guarantees precise and reliable positioning of the workpiece during all stages of edge processing at a speed of 30 m/min.
additional pressure rollers
Additional pressure rollers guarantee reliable fixation of the workpiece.
encoder
The encoder on the mechanism for raising/lowering the clamping beam allows you to automatically position the crossarm to the thickness of the part set on the control panel.
automatic lubrication of the end assembly
The centralized lubrication unit automatically lubricates the guides of the trimming unit.
